Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI) Customer Success

Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI) is a Canadian insurance company and crown corporation wholly owned by the Government of Saskatchewan. SGI’s operations consist of the Saskatchewan Auto Fund, the mandatory public auto insurance program for Saskatchewan. SGI also operates the driver licensing and motor vehicle registration system for the Province as part of its oversight of the Auto Fund.

The Challenge

The COVID-19 pandemic necessitated that most of SGI’s in-classroom training sessions be moved to either a virtual or online offering. SGI was looking for an organization to assist in the development of their Personal Injury Representative Level 1 online modules.

SGI’s primary focus in working with SkillBuilder was to increase the speed of development and move up their final delivery date. Because of the pandemic, the content needed to be delivered to employees using a more effective modality since in-person sessions were no longer an option.

The solution

SkillBuilder was contracted by SGI in March 2021 for the provision of eLearning Development. The project consisted of the design and development of 19 online modules built in Storyline 360. The completed course was estimated to be approximately 8.5 hours in length. To complete this project, the SkillBuilder Team:

  • Reviewed draft content and resources provided by SGI
  • Developed storyboards describing the detailed content of the course
  • Completed all graphics
  • Developed the course in Articulate Storyline 360 based on SGI approved storyboards
  • Completed all technical and instructional designer quality assurance

The results

The SkillBuilder Team delivered, ahead of schedule, a full complement of completed modules, which SGI has been successfully delivering as part of their online program. We look forward to continuing our partnership in the future.
